Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Survey

Great Northern Development Corporation (GNDC) is seeking community input in developing its next five-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). For the past 26 years, GNDC has provided professional business counseling, community development technical assistance, and economic resiliency planning to six counties in Northeastern Montana—Valley, Daniels, Sheridan, Roosevelt, Garfield, and McCone.

The CEDS planning process encourages individuals, organizations, local governments, institutes of learning, and private industry to engage in a meaningful conversation about what capacity-building efforts would best serve economic development in the region. The overall goal is to develop a plan that will shape the economic well-being, resiliency, and quality of life in Northeast Montana.

The first step of a successful CEDS plan is community input. GNDC offers several options for community members to share their thoughts, including an online survey and “meet and greet” opportunities with GNDC staff at community events in June, July, and early August.

Please help us in our first step of community input by completing out community survey!
