The Great Northern Development Corporation (GNDC) is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide planning, design, preliminary engineering services, and construction oversight for a series of visitor-readiness infrastructure projects in Jordan, Montana. These projects are funded through the Montana Department of Commerce’s Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program (PCTGP) and are part of a broader initiative to enhance public spaces, strengthen tourism infrastructure, and improve the overall visitor experience in the community.
The scope of this RFP includes three individual projects to be administered under a single contract. GNDC intends to select one qualified architectural and engineering firm to perform all required services associated with these projects to ensure unified design standards, efficient coordination, and effective use of grant resources.
1. Visitor Pavilion – Design and development of a new visitor pavilion at the entrance of Main Street to serve as a welcoming focal point and community gathering space.
2. Park Improvements – Planning and design enhancements at both Kariotis Park and Woodland Park to improve accessibility, aesthetics, and recreational opportunities.
3. Recreational Walking Trail – Design of a safe and attractive walking trail connecting downtown Jordan with key community landmarks, promoting tourism, connectivity, and local wellness.
Through this RFP, GNDC seeks a qualified firm with demonstrated experience in community-focused design, infrastructure planning, and stakeholder engagement. The selected firm will work closely with GNDC, Grow Garfield County (GGCo) – Steering Committee, and local partners to develop cohesive, high-quality designs that align with community goals and the intent of the PCTGP.
